Bona Coogle is in her 12th year of teaching and currently in her 8th year at Coppell High School, serving as the Director of Choirs for the Coppell Choir program, where she leads a vibrant and accomplished choral community.
A native of South Korea and raised in The Woodlands, Texas, Coogle earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Education, with a Certificate of Recognition in Vocal Performance, from the University of Texas at Austin. She has completed the Kodály Certification (Levels I, II, & III) at Texas State University and has also completed International Baccalaureate Music training (Categories I & II).
Coogle began her teaching career in Round Rock ISD in Austin before joining Coppell ISD, where her choirs consistently achieve superior ratings at UIL contests. She has served as Section Leader for the 2022 and 2023 TMEA All-State Mixed Choirs and contributed to Texas music education as Region 31 Secretary for the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) from 2021-2024. In 2022, she was honored with the Coppell ISD Super Teacher Award, which recognizes educators who design engaging learning experiences that ignite students' interests and transform teaching and learning. She is currently studying under the guidance of Dr. Julie Scott at Southern Methodist University, pursuing a Master of Music in Music Education to further advance her expertise in choral leadership and deepen her commitment to professional development and excellence.
Outside of Coppell, Coogle’s performance experience includes singing with the Austin Symphonic Chorus, the Conspirare Symphonic Chorus, and the Dallas Symphony Chorus.
Coogle is excited to continue her work with the talented students at Coppell High School, shaping future generations of musicians and leaders, and building a strong, thriving choir community.

Aaron Coronado is in his 11th year of teaching and his 7th year at Coppell High School, where he serves as the Associate Director of Choirs. A native of San Antonio, Texas, Coronado discovered a passion for singing at an early age. His talent was nurtured through participation in church, school, and community ensembles, including the San Antonio Boys Choir.
Coronado began his teaching career in Round Rock ISD before joining Coppell ISD, where his choirs consistently achieve superior ratings at UIL contests. Passionate about developing young tenor and bass voices, he founded the Coppell ISD Tenor Bass Choir in 2022, an annual ensemble that unites students from grades 6 through 12 across the district. That same year, he was honored with the Coppell ISD Super Teacher Award in recognition of his exceptional dedication to his students.
In addition to his work in the classroom, Coronado contributes to the choral community as the TMEA Region 31 High School Vocal Division Treasurer and serves as Assistant Conductor of the Cantabile Chorus of the Greater Dallas Choral Society (GDCS). GDCS, under the direction of Kimberley Ahrens, is thrilled to perform at the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) National Conference in March 2025. His extensive performance experience includes singing with renowned ensembles such as the Dallas Symphony Chorus, Turtle Creek Chorale, Chorus Austin Symphonic Choir, and Chorus Austin Chamber Ensemble.
Coronado earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Music Education from Abilene Christian University and completed three levels of Kodály Certification at Texas State University. This summer, Coronado will pursue a Master of Music in Choral Conducting at Michigan State University, studying under the guidance of Dr. Sandra Snow and Dr. Derrick Fox. Outside of his professional life, Coronado is a certified Bikram Yoga instructor and can often be found in the hot yoga room.
He feels privileged to share his passion for music with his students each day and looks forward to continuing to build a community where they can thrive, grow, and create unforgettable musical memories together.

Katherine Conkovich is in her 3rd year at Coppell ISD, serving as the Ninth Grade Campus Choir Director at Coppell High School.
A native of Richardson, Texas, Conkovich grew up performing with the Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas (CCGD), Youth Chorus of Greater Dallas (YCGD), and The Dallas Opera Children's Choruses. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Abilene Christian University and participated in international vocal performance programs in Italy and Austria through Westminster Choir College.
Her teaching experience includes roles as a private voice instructor in Richardson ISD and a Middle School Choir Director in both Abilene and Richardson, where her choirs earned UIL Sweepstakes honors. Conkovich has performed with several ensembles, including the Dallas Chorus Festival, Voci d’Amici, Abilene Chamber Singers, and Inspirata. She is passionate about lifelong learning and has earned all three levels of Kodály Certification in the Choral Track at Southern Methodist University, where she is also completing a Master of Music in Music Education.

Dr. Soojeong Lee, born in Seoul, Korea, is an accomplished singer, educator, conductor, and researcher whose career spans both the United States and abroad. She earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, a Master of Music degree and an Artist Diploma from the Manhattan School of Music, and a Bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University.
Dr. Lee began her academic career in 2001 as Assistant Professor and Head of Voice & Opera at the University of North Alabama, where she taught voice, diction, pedagogy, and literature, and directed opera and musical theatre productions. From 2008 to 2011, she served as Associate Professor and Coordinator of Vocal Studies at Texas Woman’s University, teaching undergraduate and graduate voice, vocal pedagogy, and opera production.
Since 2012, Dr. Lee has devoted her career to private voice instruction while conducting church choirs and community women’s choirs, including Tri-Valley Voices in California and Moonlight Women’s Choir in Dallas. She has also been actively engaged in organizing music and cultural events, fostering community connections through the arts.
As a recitalist and concert soloist, Dr. Lee has performed in prestigious venues such as Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Merkin Hall, Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, and Douglas Wilder Performing Arts Center. She has appeared as a soloist in major choral works including Orff’s Carmina Burana, Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s The Creation, Mozart’s Vesperae solennes de confessore, Brahms’s Ein Deutsches Requiem, and Fauré’s Requiem.
Dr. Lee’s research focuses on Korean folk and art songs, as well as French historical recital programs. Her work on Korean song literature has been presented at the College Music Society’s International Conferences in Spain and Thailand, National Conference in San Antonio, and the International Congress of Voice Teachers in Vancouver. She also reconstructed and performed Jane Bathori’s 1926 Paris recital program at the CMS National Conferences.
Now based in Texas, Dr. Lee is excited to join the Coppell High School choral program, where she brings her expertise, passion for teaching, and dedication to nurturing the next generation of singers.
Mei-En Wang holds a bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance and completed a teacher education program, earning her teaching certification from Kyung Hee University in Korea, where she received scholarships for both academic and performance achievements.
She has served as the official accompanist for the Schumann Lieder Society and has experience accompanying various operas, including La Bohème and Die Zauberflöte, as well as oratorio and major choral works such as Handel’s Messiah and John Rutter’s Gloria.
She has also served as accompanist for the Alleluah Mission Choir, a choir of professional singers, the Dallas Korean Children’s Choir, and numerous other choirs across the DFW area. With over two decades of church accompaniment experience, Mei-En now collaborates with multiple ISDs and private studios, providing expert support for musicians and students in competitions, auditions, recitals, and recordings.
Emily Bragg is on the Voice Faculty at Coppell High School. Originally from Canada, Emily studied opera at the renowned McGill University in Montreal. After completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Performance, she moved to Dallas, Texas, where she met her husband, and singing partner in crime, Jonathan Bragg. The two hired as lead singers for Holland America Line and Silversea Cruises. Emily and her husband toured the world for three years, performing countless shows together and creating lifelong memories. Now that they’re settled back in Dallas, Emily is thrilled to share her love of music with students. Her singers have had great success in the All-State process, as well as Solo & Ensemble. Having performed in operas, musicals, and cabarets, Emily brings a diverse musical background to her teaching.

Dr. Soo Hong Kim is a lyric soprano, performed major roles in many professional opera companies such as Dallas Lyric Opera, Fort Worth Opera, and Shreveport opera. She made her New York debut as soloist in Mozart’s Vespers at Lincoln Center. She has also received many awards and recognition as the winner in competitions such as the Metropolitan Opera Guild Audition (Southwest Region winner) and the National Association of Teachers of Singing Artist Awards (National winner, Mary Wolfman Award). The Hemphill-Sorantin Competition named her the overall winner of the competition and the vocal division winner. Early recognition of Dr. Kim’s abilities earned her the International Rotary Club Scholarships and the winner of Dallas Opera Career Development Grant (Currently known as Dallas Opera Vocal Competition). In addition to her many solo recitals and guest artist presentations every year, she has performed with the Cleveland Orchestra at the Blossom Festival, with the San Angelo Symphony Orchestra, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, the Austin Symphony Orchestra, the Texas Wind Symphony, UNT Symphony Orchestra, and UTA Symphony Orchestra.
As a clinician, Dr. Kim has presented master classes and lecture recitals through the local, national, and international venues every year. She was selected to present a lecture recital at the Texoma Regional NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) conference and performed at SCI Regional conferences. She also presented lectures on Vocal Pedagogy and Vocal Health in various venues including the National Music Educators Conferences in Korea as well as local universities and churches in Texas. Her directing career took international venues in the summer of 2013 when she was invited to Southern Young Artist Opera Project in Taiwan and China. At this summer opera program for singers from Asia and U.S, she served as a voice faculty and directed their full opera productions for several years. Dr. Kim served as a regular adjudicator at Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest, NATS student auditions, PMTA, and TMTA Vocal Contest. Graduated from the University of North Texas with the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance, Dr. Kim has been teaching at University of Texas at Arlington since 1998. In addition to applied voice lessons, she taught Vocal Literature, Vocal Pedagogy, and other vocal related courses. As the director of UTA Opera/Music Theatre workshop, she has put many fully staged operas on UTA campus stages.
Boeun Kim is a vocalist and collaborative pianist from South Korea. She was a rehearsal pianist and musical/vocal coach for several operas including Magic Flute, Le Nozze di Figaro, Suor Angelica, Gianni Schicchi, The boy grew too fast and Chip and His dog. Boeun participated in several music festivals in South Korea as a vocal coach fellowship recipient, such as Art song Festival and Baroque music festival. She received her Master’s degrees from University of North Texas and University of Texas at Arlington, studying collaborative piano, Vocal Performance and Graduate Diploma in Piano Performance, and her bachelor’s degree is from Seoul National University in Korea, majoring in Vocal Performance. She loves to assist students in achieving higher levels of performance, artistry, and passion for their craft. Her combined education and experience in both collaborative piano and vocal performance go hand in hand in achieving that goal when required.
She has been working as a staff accompanist/vocal coach/music director of opera at University of Texas at Arlington since 2018 and active as a collaborative pianist, musical coach for both solo and chamber recitals.

Ashley Kimbrough, is a Texas based choreographer who focuses on show choirs, musicals, cheer, and drill teams. She has been working professionally for 8 years, with over 50 schools all around the state ranging from intermediate schools to high schools. Her groups have won multiple awards at all kinds of competitions, including best choreography, grand champion, and best show. She is very proud of the work she gets to do with all of her kids and is happy to get to work with such talent everyday.
