A Cappella
The A Cappella Choir is the premiere mixed choral ensemble at Coppell High School, which is made up primarily of auditioned juniors and seniors from both CHS and New Tech High @ Coppell. Singers in this choir are also involved in a diverse array of experiences in Coppell ISD including AP, IB, National Honor Society, Athletics, Band, Art, Theatre and many others. Over the past few years, the choir has received numerous UIL Sweepstakes awards, Best in Class awards, as well as being named 2015 Grand Champion of the Festival di Voce at Dallas Baptist University. A Cappella was invited to perform at the 2016 Southwest ACDA Convention as well as the 2017 Texas Music Educators Association Convention.

Kantorei
This advanced treble choir is selected during end-of-year vocal placements or other audition and consists of sophomore through senior women with past singing experience, an above average level of sight reading ability, and an outstanding academic and citizenship record. Students will receive exposure to challenging treble literature spanning many genres and historical eras.

This is a non-varsity group of treble singers. With members from all experience levels, this ensemble focuses on building of healthy vocal techniques and mastery of music reading. They are a fun group of singers with a desire to learn, grow, and further develop their level of musicianship. In performance they are always successful and achieve UIL Sweepstakes at Region 31 UIL evaluation.

Tenor-Bass Choir
This tremendous group of singers includes members from all grades and experience levels. With no prior music experience necessary, this group focuses on the building of vocal technique and music reading abilities through appropriate repertoire. Treble Choir
This group comprises freshmen with previous choral experience and high levels of musicianship. Selected by competitive audition at the end of their 8th grade year, Treble A choral members hit the ground running, focusing on building the mastery of vocal techniques and above-level sight reading skills. In rehearsal you will see a focused and hard-working group of singers with high expectations for themselves and performances far beyond the level of a freshman choir. Treble is consistently awarded sweepstakes at TMEA Region 31 UIL Sight Reading and Evaluation.
This amazing group of freshmen comprises singers of many experience levels and backgrounds. With a focus on building vocal techniques and a greater mastery of music reading skills, this group explores many different approaches and repertoires. Treble B is a choir full of singers with a strong desire to learn, grow, and further develop their level of musicianship. Madrigal Singers
This advanced mixed chamber choir is selected by competitive audition and specializes in chamber choral literature from the Renaissance through the 21st Century. The Madrigal singers have participated in the annual American Classic Madrigal Festival in San Antonio, TX and have performed at the Texas Music Educators Convention and the Southwestern American Choral Directors Convention.
In addition to competitions and festivals, this group presents an annual Madrigal Feast which features Medieval drama and music. Costuming and theatrics are involved. The Feast is an event for the community, and all are welcome to support this special show.

Vivace!
Vivace! is Coppell High School’s mixed show choir, made up of choir students selected by competitive audition. Vivace! specializes in pop and jazz literature with choreography and performs its Fall/Spring Show.
